As well as our careers site, take a look at
Glassdoor,
Indeed and
LinkedIn to find out more about Life at Dunelm. Our customer website and social channels will give you an insight into the products we sell. And our corporate website will give you a better understanding of our financial performance, CSR commitments and plans for the future.
Of course, the best way to see what our stores are like is to come and see for yourself. As well as introducing you to the products we sell, it will give you a better handle on how we market those products, the tech we use, how we communicate with our customers and how we lay out our stores.
The more prepared you are for the interview, the more confident you will feel. Research the job, practice common interview questions, and prepare answers to potential questions you may be asked. Before the interview, remind yourself of your skills and accomplishments. Focus on your strengths and think positively about your ability to succeed.
If you need us to make some adjustments that will support your interview, contact the Recruitment team beforehand. Remember, we want you to be at your best, and whatever we can do to make that possible, we're more than happy to do it.
Re-read the job description before your interview. Look at the specific skills of the role and think about examples that align with those requirements. Writing out a few examples before the interview can help you prepare good quality answers.
It's important to be genuine during your interview. Trying to be someone you're not can come across as inauthentic, and we want to hire you for who you are. Remember, it's natural to feel a little nervous. But there's nothing to worry about, so try to relax and show us the real you in an open and honest way.
As many of our teams are hybrid working, more of our interviews are happening virtually. If this applies to yours, make sure you have a strong Wi-Fi connection so there is no chance of dropping off the video call. We use Microsoft Teams so make sure you have it set up and do a trial run, so you know what you are doing. Also, make sure your laptop is fully charged.
At the end of your interview, you'll be asked if you have any questions. Make them meaningful ones that you are interested in hearing the answer to. For example, you might want to know how we can help with your personal development, what our working culture is like, or what makes us stand out from other organisations.
